Health Education
June believes that each one of us knows ourselves the best and can be our own best health expert. June has been teaching health education since 1986 and has a PGCE since 2000.
She teaches Touch for Health, Acupressure for Children’s Ailments for the general public and Treatment of Children with Oriental Medicine for acupuncturists and other health practitioners. She aims to enable her students to use the techniques to help themselves and their friends, families and patients to regain their natural vitality and maintain it, in order to fulfil their potential in life. For, if you don’t have good health, you cannot do the things you really want to do with the adequate enthusiasm and joy that is your birthright.
June tries her best to embody this philosophy in her own life, by getting regular preventive healthcare treatment and uses self-help techniques every day, plus she attends regular classes to learn from colleagues and update her skills.
Her philosophy in teaching is summed up by the following quote:
Learning is finding out
what you already know.
Doing is demonstrating that
you know it.
Teaching reminding others
That they know just as well as you.
You are all learners, doers, teachers.
from Richard Bach
Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah
